Teaser Tuesday #19

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

•Grab your current read
•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser

I'm going to mix things up a bit. I'm going to post my teaser, but I'm not going to tell you what book it's from. You have to figure that out. :-) To a lot of people it may sound familiar but you can't quite put your finger on it. To a lot of other people, you may have no clue, but you'll look. :-)

"At that very moment such a loud sound of wailing broke out from the servants' quarters that she clutched the young man's arm, and Mary stood shivering from head to foot. The wailing grew wilder and wilder."

Can't wait to see who guesses right!

  3. Great idea about not posting the title to see who guesses. I wouldn't have a clue to what book it is, but it sounds good!
