Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
•Open to a random page
•Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
•BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
•Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Todays teaser comes from Alanna by Tamora Pierce. Funny because I just talked about this book on Friday. A refresher, I read this book originally because Alanna is my daughter's name. :-P But I ended up loving it so much I flew through the other 3 books in the series. It was awesome.
"Alanna watched and gathered her strength. If the Dark God wanted Jonathan's life, he had better be ready to fight for it." p 120
And here is the summary from Goodreads:
Alan of Trebond, the best warrior in the palace, is harboring a big secret: he is really a she - Alanna. But when her prince is felled by an illness, Alanna has no choice but to use her healing magic - even if it means ruining her career.
I love this book! I read it just recently, so I have the rest of the series yet to read! :)

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard much about this book, but your teaser makes me want to learn more! (And my cousin is named Alanna and has a pretty awesome personality, so I'm intrigued more!)
Hmm, that sounds interesting! Definitely like the sound of it. Great tease.
ReplyDeleteMy teaser is from the wonderful and mysterious novel The Night Circus.
I haven't heard of the series before, but the blurb sounds really awesome and the teaser was really good. I think I'll give it a try.
