Catching Fire Preview Cover

So I'm super excited about Catching Fire hitting theaters in November and everyone's been showing off the new EW cover and movie stills and I wanted your opinion on cast choices. What do you think of Finnick? And I know this has been no secret, but how about Jena Malone cast as Johanna Mason?

I've seen her in Pride & Prejudice and she did fairly well. Didn't much care for her part in The Hatfields & McCoys. But I have to admit, most of what I've seen her in was when she was younger. She's just not the person I pictured to play Johanna. BUT.... Jennifer Lawrence wasn't how I pictured Katniss and yet... darken her hair and slap a quiver on her back and BAM. You've got the Girl on Fire.

I reckon I'll have to wait and see how the new cast fits in to their roles. Regardless, I can't wait to see the movie. November is so far away!

Missing Harry Potter

Today I kind of got the itch to watch Harry Potter again. Maybe it's seeing all the Harry Potter Halloween costumes and wishing there was one that I could buy (incidentally, I am taking my girls trick - or - treating this year as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games). Maybe it's realizing again and again that there are no more books. No more movies. Harry Potter is done.

I don't think any book or any series will impact my life as epically as this one. I wish I could get my girls into it the way that I was. Sadly, my little one is too little and my big one just doesn't want to read them.

But I figured I would leave you all with this. Found it online, hope you enjoy.

Hunger Games Movie

I got to go and see the movie today.

It was amazing. Obviously there were some parts left out... but you can't fit the entire book in a 2.5 hour movie. I really only had two issues. Rue and Katniss weren't together long enough for the friendship to develop enough. And I wish they had said something about the muttations looking familiar when they were on the cornucopia. I KIND of wish they had developed Peeta and Katniss's relationship a bit better, but I was happy with it.

The movie was definitely exciting and suspenseful, even though I already knew what was going to happen. I'm glad I decided against re-reading the book. If I had I would have picked apart the movie because it would have been completely fresh in my mind. I may read it again now though.

I will say that I was, and always will be, a Peeta fan. Ever since book one. I love Peeta.

If you haven't yet, I hope you go see the movie and enjoy it as much as I did. I didn't want to say too much because, even though I know many of you have read the movie, it's still that much better to go see it without knowing every detail.
